Come down to the Waltham School Walk-a-thon Today!

Waltham School is having a Walk-a-thon
this afternoon at Waltham Park

We have been practising walking at school together and building our fitness. Today we needed to bring:
  • A drink bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Good Footwear
  • A healthy lunch
  • We could also bring some clothes in our house colours!
At 1.15 pm we are walking down with our buddy class and getting ready to start our big walk!
We will be walking around a circuit as many times as we can.

Walk-a-thon Challenge!

With our Waltham Walk-a-thon getting closer Room 10 and the Junior School have been busy with some power walking!

Keep your fitness up at home and go for a family walk together.

Monarch Fun!

In Room 10 this Term we have had some special visitors!
We have 3 Swan plants with Monarch Caterpillars.

Can you spot the baby caterpillar?
We have watched baby caterpillars grow into big fat caterpillars and shed their skin.

We have seen the caterpillars wiggling and jiggling into their cocoon sleeping bags.

We have looked carefully at the gold breathing holes and watched the cocoons getting darker.

We have seen the Monarch Butterfly push out of its cocoon and dry its crumpled wings.

We have taken the butterflies outside and put them on the trees.

We have watched them fly away to find some yummy nectar!

By Room 10.

Full and fat ready to make his cocoon!

Very hungry caterpillars, not many leaves left!!!
